Ash and George:
I bet you had to do a double take on this picture... I bet you thought that was really us!!
The lifesize look-alike scarecrows came about back in college when I lived in a little blue house with my rooomates. We decided that it would be funny to make scarecrows with pictures of our heads on them and put them out on our front porch.... It wasn't until months later that stories started coming out.... The classic was the story we got from our hometeachers who lived kitty corner to us. They saw us out sitting on the porch one night and decided that they were going to take our pumpkins and smash them. They said they waited up until about one in the morning but we never left so they finally got up and went to bed. The next day after church they hurried home so they could beat us to our house and finally smash our pumpkins.... Much to their surprise, we were STILL sitting there. They came a little closer and realized that they had been tricked!! Because we got them so good, they showed their respect for our great idea by not smashing our pumpkins. George and I decided to bring back the scarecrows this year, and they probably haven't scared anyone more than ourselves, but you have to admit that they look pretty real.

I love the scarecrows! As we were reading this malissa said, "They would be the funnest neighbors!" So we will have to come trick or treating anyway.
You guy's re so creative!!
That is hilarious! I love the idea!
YAY! THe return of the life-size You-scarecrows! :-)
Seriously...so hilarious. I loved how our scarecrows outside of the JTBPH were so life-like! My favorite was when it rained and our computer-generated faces started melting! hahaha...good times.
Hey Ashley- This is Becca- (sharee's best friend) I found you through Chelsey's blog- it is so fun to see all the cute pictures of you and your hubby!!! we will keep in touch:)isn't blogging awesome?
I am so happy to see the scarecrows back in action. Do you remember how Morgan confessed later to walking past them and saying "hi"? I am sure that they created other awkward moments, but we were never told about them.
