Every year, growing up, my mom would plant an Amaryllis bulb in January and we would all put bets on when it would bloom. I think the winner got a candy bar or something. For Christmas this year, she gave each of us our own bulb. George and I were way off on guessing the blooming date... so no candy bar for us!
It sure does brighten up our home!! Man, I can't wait until spring!!!!!
