Here is another one my sister-in-law told me about that is maybe even more amazing than the pie believe it or not:
Strawberry (Peach) Heaven:
- 12 Oz bag of Nilla wafers
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup more of powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- Fresh strawberries (peaches)
- 1 pint whipping cream
- tsp vanilla
Crunch the wafers in a ziplock back, but leave it kind of chunky. In a bowl, mix butter 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar and egg and then mix in the wafer chuncks and spread in the bottom of a 9X13 pan. Next, thickly layer the fruit over the wafer base. In a bowl whip the whipping cream, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and tsp of vanilla until thick and creamy. Spread the whip cream over the top of the strawberries, and sprinkle the remaining wafers over the top for the look. It's so easy, and is delicious!

Good job Ash! It looks perfect. I never got my heaven made, but we ate pie and lots of angel food with strawberries. Until the next big berry sale....
